//My Mile End’s Favourite Spot, Farine

Have you ever been to a restaurant with a menu that just never changes? Yup, I’ve been to some too and it’s usually not something I enjoy cause I like being adventurous and order new things each time! And this is why Farine IS my ultimate favourite little restaurant in the Mile End district of Montreal: their menu changes each month based on market fresh and local ingredients. I went back in October and the menu was completely different as you can see it here. 

The Food at Farine

We started with a tomato salad topped with basil leaves and ricotta cheese that was so yum! The tomatoes were freshly picked from Farine’s friends at Birri in the Jean Talen Market. They were torched in order to create a special texture and flavour that made me want to order it another time. Next up, the home made fresh pasta with mushroom in brown butter (beurre noisette). They. were. incredible.

And because one is never completely full, I tasted the banana bread and the orange and maple one. Guess which one was my fave? Yup, the orange and maple!

This is a call for all of you Montrealers, you better head to Farine to have the best lunch ever!

    Oh my gosh, these pictures look so good it’s making me hungry! You know a restaurant is good when it changes its menu seasonally to rely on fresh produce!

    Montreal was always on my travel list and this September I am finally going. I love this kind of restaurants and will definitely visit it on my trip to Montreal. Do you have any other recommendations?

I recently found what I hoped for before you know it at all. Quite unusual.
