Dumplings, Sashimi Salad and Edamame at Yakimono

//Dumplings, Sashimi Salad and Edamame at Yakimono

Two months ago, I wrote an article about the Hilton Hotel in Tel Aviv that you can all read about here. I stayed there for a while and I never tried the sushi restaurant of the lobby, Yakimono. I finally had the chance to this week! And what a delicious restaurant it was.

What to Get

We started the meal with edamame as starters. The portion was big and fair, with big sea salt topped on the edamame. Seriously the best ones I’ve eaten and this is usually not something I like to order at sushi places.

We got vegetables dumplings that came in such a cute dumpling wooden circled box. The sauce was teriyaki and went wonderfully with the dumplings. We also ordered salmon avocado Temaki. The shape of these are super unique, they’re like big cones with rice, salmon and avocado inside all wrapped in seaweed. SO good!

Next up, I decided to get something else than sushi. I tried the Sashimi Salad. Oh my. Thin rice noodles, lettuce leaves and carrots were covered with salmon, tuna thick slices. Circled with lemon and a sweet sauce, the salad was so refreshing and really made me want to order a second one.

The sushi rolls we got were also super fresh and delicious. It isn’t avocado season in Israel so they were a bit hard but apart from that, all was perfect at Yakimono!

The price and portions are both fair and the atmosphere is so great. You can have dinner inside the lobby of the Hilton or outside on the patio right next to the sea.

What a great way to eat Asian and Japanese food. I hope all of these pictures made you drool a bit.

What I Wore

My outfit tonight was simple but classic of my style. I got this Snoopy skirt at Pull&Bear last week. I thought it was so cool especially because Snoopy is such a character coming back into style. You can never be too old to wear clothes with Snoopy on it. I paired it with a white top that has white details on the shoulders. Couldn’t have been a better outfit for this kind of dinner.

Do you own clothes with vintage characters on it too? Xx
