How my blog started?
It’s actually a funny story that a few people know about. Of course I like writing, taking pictures and sharing it with all my friends from all over the world but how I started BrandTravels is really more than that. Since I’ve been a little girl, I’ve been exposed to many different places thanks to my family and I fantasized about every new places. As you can see below, making sand castles on the beach was something I’d do quite often.
Then, studying abroad in Israel is really the one thing that led me to start my blog. Only problem was, I had the ideas in mind but not the motivation and inspiration to post anything. I was confused and didn’t know what and where to start. On my 20th birthday, my boyfriend got us a hotel in Tel Aviv with a transparent pool made for you to see the entire city of Tel Aviv while swimming. And as weird as it sounds, that’s when the big lightbulb lightened up above my head: I was going to start my blog today! I created the Instagram page and the website came out 2 months later.
My 2 pieces of advice for new bloggers?
First of all, if you want to start a blog, START IT! Stop wasting time on little things that will make you pause your project or goal. If you don’t like this colour, it’s fine! Just change it later! If you don’t like that theme? There’s always a web designer you can turn to for pieces of advice! I know how hard it is to start something and not know what you want but every second of the way, you’ll fix up little things so that in the end, your website will reflect who you are.
My second tip of advice is to always be consistent with your blog posts. It takes time, work and effort but you cannot become big if you don’t work hard enough and that’s something I was always taught. If you don’t like writing that much, find another way to post such as putting up pictures with a simple caption. There is always something out there, you just got to find it and make sure it’s for you.
