Golden Hour in the Capital of Northern Italy: Venice

On this pretty sunny morning, we had a super busy day ahead of us! After taking pictures of literally every cute pond we found in the streets next to our apartment, we headed to Piazza San Marco, where we went up the tower to see one of the nicest view of Venice.

We had buildings in front of our eyes but also the sea surrounding the entire city; the island never looked better! The next to do on our list was the Dodge’s Place, a palace built with a gothic Venetian style, but with the same beautiful golden architecture all around. Some tips I highly recommend when visiting these places:

  1. Always carry a water bottle with you, it gets so hot and waiting into the lines will make you dehydrated quickly!
  2. Sunnies are a must! Not only the sun is strong but it’ll create a cool style to whatever you are wearing.
  3. How to avoid blisters: even if you packed the nicest sandals in your bags, visiting Venice is best wearing sneakers. There is so much to see and to walk to.

After having pastas for lunch (once again) and trying on the unique beaded Venetian masks, we headed to Galleria dell’ Academia where the gold building left me speechless. The paintings were incredible and it must have taken years to paint this all over the walls of the gallery.

Have you ever been to Venice?
