What is a sachertorte you ask?

Invented by Austrian Franz Sacher in 1832. The Sachertorte is the famous and most delicious Viennese culinary speciality.

Where to Eat it?

Want a bite? Head over to the Hotel Sacher, one of the most luxurious hotels in the city of Vienna. Yes, you can grab a sachertorte wherever you go eat, but the real one would definitely be at the Hotel Sacher. Right around the hotel itself, lays the Café Sacher where you can sit down and enjoy a hot tea aside with the cake. The line may be long but you absolutely NEED to wait, it is SO yum!

Not only the place is classy and elegant, the food is divine as well. The paintings on the wall makes the place more cozy and the luxurious lights hanging on the wall finish off the classy atmosphere in the entire space.

Eating at the Hotel Sacher was definitely on my bucket list since both my grandpas are from Vienna. They both told me I had to go there and it is indeed, one of the first thing I did in Vienna.

You can also ship them internationally so guess what? I didn’t hesitate in sending one to my family, they all love it! It was the greatest surprise!
