I’m sure you’ve all had poké before right? If you haven’t and you are visiting Tel Aviv, pokéshop will be waiting for ya!

I’ve had poké before in Montreal. I’d be lying to you all if I expected the one in Tel Aviv to be better. However, to my surprise, it was a real delish. The price is the only difference. In North America, the poké is bigger and cheaper (around $11). Pokéshop’s meals are in the mid 50 shekels which comes up to $16. The fish, which matters most, was as good when I compare it to Montreal though.

The Food

The restaurant is located right in Central Tel Aviv. To be specific, right on Kikar Rabin for those who know the city.

The owners are French and then moved to LA. They then came to Israel and opened up this place last January. It has been a success since Israel doesn’t have many poké place. It is just becoming the new thing right now.

The service is quick, and the amount of sides you can put in your bowl are endless. You first start with choosing your base, quinoa or rice. Then pick the fish. There is raw salmon, raw tuna and marinated raw salmon and tuna. After that, the sides are avocado, edamame, seaweed, carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes, spicy peppers, ginger, corn and more! I love sea weed and this one was a bit too salty. Apart from that, everything was fresh, delicious and I just never wanted the meal to end!

The sauces are ALSO endless! You can put spicy mayonnaise, teriyaki, soya sauce, and more! If you haven’t tried any poké at all, it is definitely a meal you need to taste! It is like eating an enormous decomposed sushi. It is SO good!

Thank you pokéshop for such a cool lunch and afternoon spent in Tel Aviv! I will definitely be back there and recommend the restaurant to everyone who asks me. Xx
