Today, we all decided it was time to get our legs moving and that Mount Mansflield would be the best summit to hike and climb. Our dog obviously came with us and little did we know, his little legs became tired very quickly. He finished the hike in our arms, this lucky one.

Mount Mansfield peaks at 4,393 feet (1,339 m) above sea level and after an hour or two of walking, we finally reached the top of the mountain facing the most magical view. Even though it was a hot August day, the clouds were out which made the walking less difficult to be honest.

When I got home, I looked up Mount Mansfield up and to my surprise, this mountain has a very fun fact to it. Did you know that when facing east, the mountain has the appearance of a human profile? The nose, mouth, chin and forehead are pretty distinct even though I didn’t see any of these before started the climb.

ANYWAY, I highly recommend the hike to anyone who loves nature and spending time outside in the fresh air. Being on top of this mountain really will make you feel like the king of the world, which is a pretty great feeling I think.

Have you ever hiked a mountain?

Puppy fell asleep after a long day of hiking and obviously my sibling tried to wake him up by tickling him!
